Requirements

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Data Analyst to join a specialist data and market intelligence business operating within the global gambling and financial markets. The business provides highly valuable data, research and analysis to a range of leading organisations and is currently investing heavily in its technology, data infrastructure and AI capabilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in data and analytics without needing an advanced technical background. Initially, you’ll be hands-on with data research, entry, validation, Excel and documentation, but the role will evolve as the business develops its data infrastructure. You’ll have the opportunity to learn SQL and Python, work with large and varied datasets, use AI to improve processes, and gradually move into more analytical and database-focused responsibilities.

You’ll work closely with experienced analysts in a small, collaborative team, gaining exposure to specialist global data while taking increasing ownership of your work. The ideal candidate will be intelligent, curious and highly detail-oriented, with a genuine interest in technology and a desire to continually find better, faster ways of working., * Strong Excel skills and confidence working with spreadsheets and large amounts of information.

  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to spot errors, inconsistencies and gaps in data.
  • A naturally analytical and curious mindset, with the ability to investigate information and work things out independently.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines.
  • Good written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear notes and documentation.
  • Comfortable using Word and PowerPoint alongside Excel.
  • A genuine interest in data, technology and AI.
  • An interest in learning SQL and Python - previous coding experience is not essential.
  • A proactive approach to identifying repetitive tasks and thinking about how AI or automation could improve efficiency.
  • A willingness to learn, develop and take on increasingly analytical responsibilities.
