Application Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you will own and intelligently manage assigned COTS applications and data integrations, ensuring production stability and secure operations. You’ll collaborate with business, vendors, and tech teams to deliver scalable, automated solutions in Azure, leveraging data pipelines and Generative AI to improve efficiency. You will support Agile delivery, incident response, and change management, shaping how core applications meet evolving business needs. This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about automation, cloud, and data engineering with a focus on reliability and security. Compensation / Benefits * Own COTS applications throughout their lifecycle and serve as primary technical contact for support and enhancements * Build, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise data pipelines and integrations * Support applications hosted in Microsoft Azure environments and collaborate with stakeholders * Investigate production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions * Develop and maintain automation solutions and scripting (Python, Shell, PowerShell, Perl) * Design, implement, and support automated testing frameworks * Participate in upgrades, releases, and change management; contribute to Agile ceremonies * Document technical solutions, support procedures, and operational runbooks * Leverage AI-assisted tools and Generative AI to improve development, testing, and support processes * Identify opportunities to apply Generative AI and intelligent automation to business workflows Tasks * 5-7 years of experience in application or software development engineering * 3-5 years of experience supporting and owning enterprise applications * Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services * Experience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting data pipelines and integrations * Proficiency in SQL, Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS; exposure to modern frameworks * Scripting experience (PowerShell, Shell, Bash, or Perl) * Experience implementing automation solutions and testing frameworks * Experience supporting production incidents and performing root cause analysis * Knowledge of Agile methodologies and SDLC practices * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Key requirements *
