Job description

Insight Global’s client is building out its Transformation Management Office (TMO) and is seeking an experienced IT Portfolio Manager to serve as an internal consultant across enterprise technology. This individual will provide portfolio governance, financial oversight, roadmap alignment, and Lean Portfolio Management leadership across multiple technology organizations.

The ideal candidate has worked within large corporate IT environments supporting multiple product teams, directors, budgets, and strategic initiatives. They must be able to create portfolio frameworks while simultaneously operating within them.

Day to Day

  • Own portfolio financial management across multiple technology organizations

  • Consolidate roadmaps into a single enterprise view

  • Partner with Corporate Finance on annual planning, forecasting, and budgeting

  • Manage contractor and vendor spend across technology portfolios

  • Drive Lean Portfolio Management adoption and best practices

  • Create executive-level reporting and portfolio health dashboards

  • Facilitate governance and prioritization discussions

  • Provide visibility into initiatives, dependencies, risks, and outcomes

  • Support PI Planning and enterprise planning activities

Serve as a strategic advisor to technology leadership

Requirements

Must Haves

  • 10+ years of IT Program/Portfolio Management experience

  • Experience managing enterprise IT portfolios ($10M-$15M+ budgets)

  • Experience supporting organizations of 150+ technology resources

  • Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) experience with ability to implement and mature practices

  • Strong IT financial management experience (budgeting, forecasting, contractor/vendor spend)

  • Experience consolidating roadmaps across multiple technology organizations

  • Executive-level communication and presentation skills

Advanced PowerPoint and Excel capabilities Plusses

  • SAFe / Lean Portfolio Management certifications

  • ServiceNow, Aptio, and/or Coupa experience

  • Insurance industry experience

  • Transformation Office (TMO) or Enterprise PMO experience

Experience standing up Portfolio Services functions

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages while on contract for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
