AI Prompt Engineer

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and optimize AI solutions for hotel and corporate teams.

• Build and support Custom GPTs, Copilot Agents, AI Skills, prompt-based applications, and workflow automations.

• Translate operational challenges into practical AI solutions.

• Manage a backlog of approximately 60 active AI tools while supporting delivery of roughly 30 tools every eight weeks.

• Conduct user testing, prompt refinement, validation, and quality assurance.

• Gather user feedback, monitor adoption, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve active AI products.

• Collaborate with teams supporting AI platforms, APIs, agent ecosystems, and enterprise technologies.

• Identify opportunities to improve hotel operations through AI, automation, and emerging technologies.

• Successfully manage multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

1. Hospitality background - especially familiarity with operations such as time systems, food and beverage, and procurement
2. Strong prompt engineering and AI solution development experience and hands-on experience with ChatGPT, OpenAI, Custom GPTs, and/or Microsoft Copilot.
3. Experience gathering stakeholder feedback and improving AI products based on user needs., * Hands-on experience with ChatGPT, OpenAI, Custom GPTs, and/or Microsoft Copilot.

• Strong prompt engineering and AI solution development experience.

• Experience building AI workflows, automation, agents, and business-facing AI applications.

• Ability to evaluate business requirements and recommend the most appropriate AI solution.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Experience gathering stakeholder feedback and improving AI products based on user needs.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Experience

• Hospitality industry experience.

• Experience building Microsoft Copilot Agents.

• Familiarity with OpenAI APIs, Custom GPT development, AI Skills, and AI product deployment.

• Knowledge of hotel operations, hospitality workflows, and operational technologies.

• Experience identifying automation opportunities and implementing AI solutions.

• Thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and projects., Bachelor’s degree in: Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or Related field OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience., GPT, Copilot, Hospitality, Prompt Engineering, * Understands both hospitality operations, hospitality technologies (listed above), and AI capabilities.

• Can build solutions, not just write prompts.

• Comfortable creating Custom GPTs, Copilot Agents, workflows, and automations.

• Understands where AI should and should not be applied.

This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
