Software Technical Lead

Experteer Overview As Software Technical Lead in the Central Government team, you drive delivery of bespoke software solutions in an agile setting. You will lead technically and engage with clients to shape architectures and directions. You’ll work across full stack development, CI/CD, and multi-cloud deployments to solve complex operational problems. Pay / Benefits * Lead and mentor project teams while engaging with clients to define technical direction * Design, develop and test software solutions across the full software lifecycle * Utilise open-source libraries and components to build robust solutions * Build and monitor CI pipelines (GitLab) to ensure quality and security * Deploy systems to AWS, Azure, and private cloud environments * Contribute to solution architectures and technical designs * Support project concept formalisation, requirements analysis, architecture, implementation, delivery, and maintenance * Provide training and ongoing support to ensure smooth operation and adoption Tasks * Senior Engineer/Lead with hands-on full stack experience * Commercial experience with Java, AWS, JavaScript, React & TypeScript * Ability to engage with customers and provide clear vision and technical direction * High level security clearance (UK) * British citizen, lived in the UK for at least 5 years * Consultancy experience useful but not essential Key requirements * Flexi-time * Hybrid working * L&D package (5 days external training, career coach, guilds) * Social culture with monthly events * Matched pension and health care
