Experteer Overview In this role you lead the AI Systems function within the AI Accelerator to advance disease understanding through scalable, production-ready AI. You will guide a world-class team of scientists and engineers, shaping architectures and delivering impactful models for portfolio decision-making. You’ll work on strategic AI initiatives that translate research into real-world biologic insights, partnering with external collaborators and senior stakeholders. This is a mission-driven opportunity to accelerate biomedical discovery at scale. Pay / Benefits * Build and lead a team of AI scientists and ML engineers delivering foundational AI capabilities for disease understanding, target discovery and safety * Establish a senior leadership layer to own technical problems, drive solutions, and deliver results * Contribute to AI Accelerator Leadership Team, shaping technical strategy and capability roadmap * Steer from architecture through training to production-quality models with artefacts for deployment * Forge partnerships with academic and third-party collaborators to amplify impact * Enhance external reputation through publications and conference presence * Ensure model outputs are trustworthy to enable confident decision-making Tasks * PhD in ML, CS, Computational Biology or related field with foundation model knowledge * Proven track record of building and leading high-performing technical teams in biomedical AI * Experience shaping AI innovation strategy and turning research into real-world impact * Excellent stakeholder management with pharma R&D understanding * Previous pharma R&D experience is advantageous Key requirements *
