About The Team You’ll report to our Chief Scheme Officer, one of EPI’s executive leaders with more than 20 years of international experience in payments. The team brings together experienced specialists across Scheme Rules, Certification & Approval and Fraud Management, located throughout Europe. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders, member banks and prospective members to ensure the robustness, compliance and evolution of EPI’s scheme framework. Your impact Create, review and maintain EPI’s operating rules and regulations by translating market, product and regulatory requirements into clear and effective scheme documentation. Collaborate with EPI teams, member banks and stakeholders to ensure the scheme framework evolves alongside business and regulatory needs. Manage the onboarding process of new PSP applicants for EPI membership, ensuring completeness, consistency and compliance of submissions. Assess applicant documentation from risk, financial stability and AML perspectives, identifying potential concerns and areas requiring clarification. Prepare recommendations for the Membership Management Committee, highlighting risks, observations and onboarding decisions. Act as a key point of contact for applicant institutions throughout the membership assessment process. Ensure accurate management, storage and governance of membership and scheme-related documentation. Contribute to the continuous improvement of governance frameworks

Requirements

A degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Law or a related field is preferred. Fluent in English (CEFR C1 or C2); French, German, Dutch or other European languages are a plus. Thrive in a remote-first, multicultural environment. Strong knowledge of the European payments landscape, including EPC SCT Inst, account-to-account payments, payment regulations and scheme dynamics.
