Java Developer

Madrid is buzzing right now - and this role is for the engineers who still know how to win with the “classic kit.” A high-traffic, real-world platform in Madrid is looking for a hands-on Java Developer to work on a mission-critical codebase running on Java 7 / Java 8 . If you enjoy solving tough problems in mature systems-performance, stability, clean refactoring, and careful delivery-this one will feel like home. You must speak Spanish (team and stakeholders) and a little English. Open to people already in Madrid or relocating to Madrid . What you’ll be doing - Building and maintaining core backend services in Java 7/8 - Debugging, improving performance, and shipping safely in a production environment - Working with legacy constraints while still applying modern engineering discipline (testing, clean code, pragmatic refactors) - Collaborating closely with a local Madrid-based team (hybrid) What they’re looking for - Strong commercial experience with Java 7 and/or Java 8
