Job description

Kforce has a client in Armonk, NY that is seeking an experienced Integration Architect - Customer APIs to support a large-scale, greenfield customer technology and customer information system transformation for a regulated energy and utilities organization. The program is modernizing customer service and clean-energy program capabilities, replacing legacy Salesforce environments, preserving required business logic, and reducing technical debt through a clean future-state architecture., * Define customer API strategy, architecture principles, service taxonomy, reusable patterns, governance, and lifecycle standards

  • Architect APIs and services supporting Energy and Utilities Cloud, Service Cloud, Data Cloud, OmniStudio and OmniScript, the Clean Energy Module, portals, mobile channels, contact centers, billing, payments, notifications, and operations
  • Translate business capabilities, customer journeys, security requirements, nonfunctional requirements, and legacy interface behavior into target-state API architecture
  • Design synchronous, asynchronous, event-driven, batch, webhook, pub/sub, and hybrid integration patterns
  • Define API contracts, canonical models, orchestration, transformation, error handling, resiliency, monitoring, audit, and operational support standards
  • Guide authentication, authorization, consent, privacy, throttling, rate limiting, versioning, and customer-data protection
  • Review detailed designs and implementation quality, support POCs, unblock delivery teams, and resolve cross-platform design decisions
  • Ensure legacy integrations are rationalized and unnecessary technical debt is not reproduced
  • Communicate architecture decisions, risks, dependencies, costs, and tradeoffs to senior business and technology stakeholders

Requirements

  • 12+ years of enterprise integration experience, including principal-level ownership of API architecture for complex transformation programs
  • Deep experience with customer API architecture, API-led integration, event-driven patterns, security, observability, governance, and operational support
  • Experience integrating Salesforce Energy and Utilities Cloud, Service Cloud, Data Cloud, OmniStudio or OmniScript, and clean-energy program capabilities with enterprise systems
  • Strong understanding of REST, OpenAPI, messaging, events, canonical models, identity, OAuth, JWT, mTLS, error handling, resiliency, and monitoring
  • Experience connecting customer channels with CIS, billing, payments, notification, outage, field-service, data, and SAP or other enterprise platforms
  • Ability to act as a design authority while remaining hands-on enough to review designs, guide implementation, and unblock delivery teams
  • Exceptional executive and technical communication skills across onshore and offshore teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant integration, cloud, security, Salesforce, or architecture credentials
  • Utility customer information system or clean-energy program integration experience
  • SAP BTP, MuleSoft, cloud API management, or event-streaming architecture experience

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
