Experteer Overview In this role you drive the evolution of a model-based build platform used by hundreds of engineers to generate, validate, and integrate artifacts quickly. You set technical direction for a scalable, cloud-native environment that ensures reproducibility and rapid feedback. You work across platform mechanics and ways of working, mentoring teams and aligning with safety-focused automotive software goals. You transform how teams author, build, and trust the software they depend on, from desktop to cloud, while maintaining high quality and safety standards. Compensation / Benefits * Define and own the platform direction for model-based workloads and their integration into the dependency graph * Architect and implement build-system integrations, ensuring hermeticity, determinism, and cache-key stability at scale * Design remote-execution strategies for license-bound and compute-heavy workloads, including worker pools and scheduling * Develop cache economics to maximize reuse of expensive build actions across developers and CI jobs * Translate model quality and generated-code standards into executable gates within the build graph * Lead adoption of the fastest, most efficient environment (desktop or cloud) across teams and verify progress with stakeholders * Partner with tool providers on headless execution, reproducibility, and integration contracts * Provide design leadership and establish shared standards across the model-based and build-platform boundary Tasks * Bachelor in Computer Science * Minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience * Deep model-driven development experience for embedded software * Build-system engineering: dependency graphs, action sandboxing, cache-key stability, build rule authorship * Remote execution and cloud infrastructure: worker scheduling, content-addressed caching, cross-platform output sharing * Comfort with Linux and cloud environments * Strong grounding in automotive software quality and functional safety standards * Track record of evolving teams to a shared, reproducible environment Key requirements *
