Data Scientist, Amazon Connect

Experteer Overview As a Data Scientist at Amazon Connect, you will analyze massive datasets to categorize customer usage patterns, detect anomalies, and understand model performance impact on business metrics. You’ll translate business problems into data science solutions, collaborate with product managers, scientists, and engineers, and help shape the next generation of cloud-based contact centers. Compensation / Benefits * Categorize customer idiosyncrasies to summarize differences and their impact on models * Develop mechanisms to detect and clean up outliers affecting model outputs * Deep dive into customer issues to determine model versus customer expectations * Assess data gaps and derive features from existing sources, estimate benefits of new data streams * Collaborate in an agile setting with product managers, scientists, and SDEs on data ingestion, deployment, and model performance issues Tasks * 2+ years of data scientist experience * 3+ years of experience with data querying languages (SQL) or scripting languages (Python) or statistical software (R, SAS, Matlab) * 3+ years of machine learning/statistical modeling and data analysis experience * Experience applying theoretical models in applied environments * Preferred: Python, Perl, or other scripting languages; ML/data science role at a large tech company Key requirements * health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D) * RSUs * sign-on payments * 401(k) matching * paid time off * parental leave
