Senior Application Developer

The Utah State Tax Commission is seeking an experienced Senior Application Developer with extensive GenTax development experience to support enterprise tax applications. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing GenTax solutions while collaborating with business and technical teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in GenTax (FAST Enterprises), C#, SQL, Visual Studio, SOAP/REST APIs, system analysis, and workflow design. Roles & Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain applications within the GenTax (FAST Enterprises) platform. Develop scalable solutions using C#, SQL, and Microsoft Visual Studio. Create, enhance, and consume RESTful and SOAP Web Services/APIs. Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Perform system analysis, workflow analysis, and solution design. Troubleshoot production issues and resolve application defects. Optimize SQL queries and improve application performance. Participate in software maintenance, enhancements, upgrades, and new development projects. Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership.
