Application Developer (Senior Developer)

The client department is seeking a talented and experienced developer with extensive knowledge of GenTax systems to work closely with an IT development team supporting Tax Commission applications. This role designs, implements, and optimizes solutions across Motor Vehicle Title and Registration, Motor Vehicle Enforcement, Tax Processing, and Property Tax. As a senior developer, you will play a crucial role in the analysis, design, and implementation of maintenance, upgrade, and new development projects within GenTax (COTS software)., * Design, develop, and maintain software applications within the GenTax system using C# and SQL, including writing advanced SQL queries and implementing API services to support business requirements.

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to application performance, functionality, and integration points.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and developing solutions within the GenTax system, with demonstrated proficiency in SQL and C# using Visual Studio.
• Proficiency consuming, updating, and creating API services (SOAP and RESTful).
• Strong experience in functional requirements gathering and transferring requirements into technical specifications through system analysis and workflow/process design., * Minimum 5 years of experience designing and developing solutions within the GenTax system, with demonstrated proficiency in SQL and C# using Visual Studio.
• Proficiency consuming, updating, and creating API services (SOAP and RESTful).

• Solid understanding of Tax Commission business processes in relation to the GenTax system.

• Work experience as an IT Architect is a plus.
