Experteer Overview In this ISSE role, you will contribute to cybersecurity engineering across the system lifecycle, shaping secure designs and risk-based decisions. You will partner with system engineers to embed security in cloud, on-premises, and mobile environments, helping advance DoD ISR and data-driven decision-making. You will evaluate architectures, implement RMF controls, and lead vulnerability and risk remediation efforts, contributing to a strong security posture. This role offers impact across multi-domain operations and a mission-focused, collaborative team. Compensation / Benefits * Advise system engineers on cybersecurity throughout the SDLC and integrate security requirements * Evaluate designs and cloud implementations to identify risks and mitigations * Assess implemented controls and propose improvements to security posture * Manage enterprise vulnerability management including ACAS, STIG Manager, SCAP, SBOM * Perform vulnerability and compliance assessments and track remediation * Support RMF lifecycle, create SARs, POA&Ms, and authorization packages * Provide technical recommendations to ISSMs and stakeholders to inform risk-based decisions Tasks * 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years with Masters; 4 years with PhD/JD; or 13 years with HS diploma or equivalent * Experience in cybersecurity engineering across cloud, hybrid, and enterprise IT environments * Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI * DoD 8570/8140 IAM Level III certification (e.g., CISSP, GSLC, CISSP-ISSEP, SECURITY X) * Experience with RMF, security control implementation, assessments, and continuous monitoring with DoD/DoW systems * Experience evaluating technical cybersecurity risk and providing engineering recommendations Key requirements * best-in-class medical, dental and vision plans * 401(k) with planning tools * tuition reimbursement and scholarships * life insurance * paid holidays and paid time off * employee discounts
