Experteer Overview As a Systems Engineer II, you will help develop a virtual crew drill trainer that simulates a tactical missile system in a 3D Unreal Engine environment. You will work within a multidisciplinary scrum team to translate system concepts into training scenarios, guiding software engineers and validating implementations. The role blends software and electromechanical systems, offering exposure to project management and growth opportunities. This position supports a mission-driven effort to advance military training tools and defense capabilities. Compensation / Benefits * Research tactical system concepts using diagrams, data, CAD drawings, and manuals * Create requirements documents to guide software engineers * Collaborate with software engineers during implementation * Perform software testing against defined requirements * Document and track software defects and support resolutions * Adapt to a fast-paced environment with accuracy and attention to detail * Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally for tests and partnerships Tasks * Degree in STEM with minimum 2 years of relevant experience * Experience with software and/or electromechanical systems * Ability to work independently and within a team * Understanding of systems engineering lifecycle and core engineering principles * Analytical, problem-solving mindset with experience in requirements and configuration management * Exposure to Agile methodologies, including Scrum * Understanding of object-oriented design, basic coding concepts, and simulation or radar fundamentals * Familiarity with technical manuals and military procedures is a plus Key requirements * relocation assistance * medical/dental/vision * 401(k) match * flexible work schedules * parial parental leave * paid time off and holidays
