Job description

The Senior Manager, Data Governance plays a critical role in advancing Coca-Cola’s Digital Transformation by establishing and operationalizing enterprise data governance capabilities that improve data quality, consistency, accessibility, and trust across the Digital ecosystem. This role is responsible for driving governance frameworks, stewardship models, data quality standards, metadata management, and policy adoption that enable scalable analytics, AI, digital products, and business decision-making.

Operating within a product-centric and domain-aligned model, this role partners closely with Data Engineering, Data & Analytics, Data Science, Product, Technology, Security, Privacy, and business stakeholders to ensure enterprise data is managed as a strategic asset. Success requires balancing governance with agility while enabling innovation through modern data management practices and responsible AI principles.

What You will do for us

  • Lead the implementation and continuous evolution of enterprise data governance capabilities aligned to Coca-Cola’s Digital Transformation strategy.

  • Establish governance frameworks, policies, standards, and operating procedures that improve data quality, consistency, accessibility, and regulatory compliance.

  • Partner with business and digital leaders to define data ownership, stewardship, accountability, and governance responsibilities across critical business domains.

  • Develop enterprise data quality frameworks, monitoring capabilities, and remediation processes that improve trust in business-critical data assets.

  • Lead metadata management, business glossary, data catalog, and lineage initiatives that improve data discoverability and transparency.

  • Collaborate with Data Engineering and Product teams to embed governance controls into modern data platforms, digital products, and enterprise data pipelines.

  • Support Master Data Management (MDM), reference data, and critical data element governance initiatives that improve enterprise consistency.

  • Ensure compliance with enterprise data privacy, security, regulatory, and responsible AI requirements through effective governance practices.

  • Monitor governance effectiveness through KPIs, scorecards, and data quality metrics while driving continuous improvement across the enterprise.

  • Promote data literacy, stewardship, and governance awareness by partnering with business stakeholders and enabling a culture of accountable data ownership.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies, AI-enabled governance capabilities, metadata automation, and modern data management practices to continuously improve governance maturity.

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned, in response to evolving business needs and market dynamics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Architecture, Master Data Management, Analytics, or related enterprise data leadership roles.

  • Proven experience implementing enterprise data governance frameworks, stewardship programs, and data quality initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of metadata management, business glossaries, data lineage, reference data, and Master Data Management principles.

  • Experience working with enterprise data platforms, cloud technologies, and modern analytics ecosystems.

  • Familiarity with governance platforms such as Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Alation, Informatica, or equivalent technologies.

  • Experience partnering with Product, Engineering, Analytics, Security, Privacy, and business organizations within complex enterprise environments.

  • Strong knowledge of data privacy regulations, governance best practices, and responsible AI principles.

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

  • Passion for building trusted enterprise data capabilities that enable analytics, AI, and digital transformation.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders across functions in a fast-paced environment
