Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you own and drive the cybersecurity program for assigned DoD information systems, ensuring RMF-based authorization, continuous monitoring, and risk management. You act as the primary security authority for inspections, audits, and authorization activities, mentoring ISSOs and coordinating with cross-functional teams. You will shape the security posture to meet DoD requirements and program objectives, delivering audit-ready artifacts and leadership updates. This is an onsite role based in Cedar Rapids, IA, guiding secure execution in a mission-critical environment. Compensation / Benefits * Own cybersecurity responsibilities for assigned information systems and manage security objectives * Lead inspections, assessments, audits, and continuous monitoring activities to maintain authorization readiness * Execute and maintain RMF-based system authorization for DoD systems (JSIG/DAAG) * Ensure alignment of security controls with DD Form 254, contract requirements, and program objectives * Develop, maintain, and validate cybersecurity plans, artifacts, and compliance documentation * Identify and communicate cybersecurity risk to senior leadership and Authorizing Officials * Oversee ongoing monitoring, evaluate security posture, and track control effectiveness * Drive POA&M creation and closure after inspections and monitoring activities * Lead Change Control Boards (CCBs) and assess security impact of system changes * Coordinate with Program Managers and cross-functional teams to integrate cybersecurity into program execution * Mentor ISSOs to ensure consistent RMF execution and artifact quality * Prepare cybersecurity status reports for senior leadership, highlighting risk trends and issues Tasks * U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Top Secret clearance day one * Active DoD Top Secret clearance required * IAM Level III certification compliant with DoD 8570/8140 (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GSLC) * Experience performing ISSM responsibilities for classified or controlled systems * Advanced knowledge of RMF and DoD authorization processes * Experience with JSIG and/or DAAG for authorization and monitoring * Knowledge of DD Form 254 interpretation and contractual security requirements * Ability to travel domestically up to 20% Key requirements * Medical, dental, and vision insurance * Three weeks vacation * 401(k) with employer matching and retirement contributions * Tuition reimbursement * Student loan repayment program * Life insurance and disability coverage
