Job description

Experteer Overview In this onsite role, you lead cybersecurity activities for assigned information systems to keep them compliant and audit-ready. You work with cross-functional teams to apply security controls across technical and operational environments, supporting RMF, JSIG, and other government guidance. You will conduct advanced auditing, review data access and transfers, and drive risk mitigation with continuous monitoring. This position offers hands-on experience in A&A processes within a high-assurance setting and a chance to impact mission-critical systems. Compensation / Benefits * Serve as the lead ISSO for assigned information systems and coordinate security activities * Prepare systems for inspections, audits, and assessments with compliant documentation and controls * Review data transfers and user access requests for policy adherence * Conduct advanced log analysis and vulnerability trend review to identify risks * Develop and maintain security documentation, artifacts, and compliance reports * Manage Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) and ensure timely remediation * Participate in Change Control Boards (CCBs) to assess security impact of changes * Collaborate with IT, Facilities, and Industrial Security to ensure consistent controls * Monitor system metrics and risk indicators to support decision-making * Communicate security posture and readiness findings to leadership Tasks * Active DoD Secret Clearance required on day one * University degree in related field or equivalent experience * IAM Level I certification compliant with DoD 8570/8140 * Experience in cybersecurity monitoring, auditing, and continuous monitoring in enterprise/DoD environments * Knowledge of security principles: network security, logging, access management, incident detection * Experience analyzing security alerts and logs to identify anomalies * Ability to document findings and responses per procedures * Familiarity with DoD/regulatory environments (RMF, JSIG, NIST, NISPOM, DAAG) * Experience with CCBs and cross-functional collaboration * Proficiency with SIEMs (Splunk preferred) and vulnerability tooling Key requirements * Medical, dental, and vision insurance * Three weeks of vacation * 401(k) with employer matching and retirement contributions * Tuition reimbursement * Student Loan Repayment Program * Life insurance and disability coverage
