Experteer Overview In this Sr Data Engineer role, you help migrate and modernize data platforms to Snowflake while maintaining legacy Oracle environments. You’ll lead data modeling, source-to-target mapping, and cross-team collaboration to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions. You work with business partners to translate problems into technical designs and drive efficient, cost-conscious implementations. This opportunity puts you at the center of data modernization within a global specialty insurance context. Compensation / Benefits * Support legacy on-prem Oracle PL/SQL app until migration to AWS Snowflake completes * Lead migration of legacy system to Snowflake, including design, data modeling, and validation * Ensure Snowflake app is maintainable with clear code for business users * Document support procedures and provide ongoing support for Snowflake * Coordinate activities with cross-functional IT stakeholders * Assess solutions and recommend cost-effective system designs * Translate business problems into logical designs and implement solutions * Prepare analyses artifacts (charts, tables, diagrams) using domain techniques * Analyze existing systems to improve operations and revise logic as needed * Foster collaborative, accountable, and continuous-improvement culture Tasks * Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship * Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Data Science, CS, or related field, or 7+ years IT experience * Robust SQL experience with complex transformations * 7+ years ETL/data integration experience * 2+ years Oracle PL/SQL experience * Solid data warehouse knowledge in insurance/financial services or related domain * Knowledge of data modeling and dimensional database structures * Strong critical thinking and analytical skills * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment * Excellent facilitation, requirements elicitation, and data analysis skills * Experience mentoring and leading other Data Engineers * Continuous learning mindset Key requirements * short-term or annual bonuses * long-term incentives * on-the-spot recognition
