Job description

Experteer Overview In this Software Engineer II role, you will design and deliver AI-powered solutions within the Enterprise AI Products Value Stream to translate business problems into production-ready capabilities. You’ll partner with stakeholders, architects, and platform teams to shape AI platforms and prototypes across the enterprise. The position blends strategic discovery with hands-on delivery, allowing you to work across diverse problems and rapidly deploy impactful solutions. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused opportunity in a collaborative, innovation-driven culture. Compensation / Benefits * Design, build, and deliver AI-powered solutions across strategic initiatives and rapid field engagements * Leverage AI capabilities including LLMs, agentic workflows, cloud services (AWS/Azure), and Kubernetes * Lead solution design with architects, product owners, and LOB leads to produce technically sound implementations * Own end-to-end delivery from scoping to knowledge transfer with high code quality * Engage with LOB stakeholders to uncover adjacent needs and inform the AI product roadmap * Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers as an informal lead * Demonstrate subject matter expertise across multiple tech disciplines for internal and LOB stakeholders * Analyze and resolve defects and incidents of advanced complexity * Perform other duties as assigned Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related STEM field * 4+ years of software engineering experience * Proficiency in Python; experience with JavaScript/TypeScript/Java welcome * Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure * Experience with Kubernetes and containerization * Proficiency with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture * Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins or GitHub Actions) * Experience designing AI-driven workflows, LLM integrations, or AI-powered automations * Ability to work in agile, collaborative environments * Strong communication skills and ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences Key requirements * Health Insurance for employees and dependents * 401(k) with company match up to 5% * Pension Plan 100% funded by Travelers * Paid Time Off (minimum 20 days) + 9 holidays * Wellness program and mental health resources * Volunteer Encouragement and Matching Gift program
