Job description
Experteer Overview As a Data Scientist at Ford, you will apply domain expertise across data science disciplines to tackle complex manufacturing problems where standard methods fall short. You will design production-grade solutions, guide methodology and tooling choices, and partner with stakeholders to translate insights into strategic actions. You’ll work directly with manufacturing teams to source data, validate hypotheses, and deliver actionable models for use on the factory floor. You will mentor junior staff, elevate best practices, and help shape Ford’s data-driven culture and roadmap. Compensation / Benefits * Design and deliver production-grade data science solutions * Partner with business stakeholders to define data-driven strategy and align the DS roadmap * Lead reviews of DS work (methodology, code, results) and establish review standards * Mentor and oversee junior/mid-level data scientists and contribute to Ford’s knowledge base * Collaborate with Data Engineers and Software Engineers to deploy applications in manufacturing processes * Support deployment and provide training to end users; resolve issues post-deployment * Influence organizational priorities and champion a data-informed culture * Translate insights into action and manage stakeholder expectations on data-driven value creation Tasks * 2 years’ experience in Generative AI, Computer Vision, forecasting, or prognostics/prediction * 2 years of experience in Python & SQL * 1 year of experience developing dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik * Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) * Master’s in analytics, data science or statistics Key requirements * Immediate medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage * Flexible family care days, paid parental leave * Vehicle discount program for employees and family members * Tuition assistance * Paid time off for community service * Paid holidays including the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day
