Job description

Experteer Overview As a technical engineer at General Dynamics Mission Systems, you contribute to advanced defense technologies that support service members, analysts and first responders. You apply rigorous engineering principles in research, lab testing, and system development to enable cost-efficient, practical solutions. You work within a collaborative, cross-disciplinary environment to influence proposals, system design, and manufacture of complex electronics. Your role intersects AI and other cutting-edge technologies to drive continuous improvement and mission impact. Compensation / Benefits * Perform layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems in the lab * Analyze project effects on engineering, facilities and labor to plan resources and timelines * Contribute to proposal, system-level design, detail design and manufacturing efforts for advanced electronics systems * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify practical and cost-efficient resources * Apply AI for ongoing improvement and innovation Tasks * Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field with 5 years of relevant experience or Master’s with 3 years of experience * Subject matter expert (SME) in one discipline with working knowledge in adjacent disciplines * Proficient understanding and application of engineering principles, concepts, practices, and standards * U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain security clearance (Preferred: DoD Secret) Key requirements * flexible work environment * competitive benefits * opportunities to work on top-secret technologies * team-focused culture * professional development * mission-driven work
