Job description

Experteer Overview As a Frontend Engineer in Developer Productivity, you will design and ship end-to-end features for a large-scale React application that powers scientific workflows. You’ll build frontend frameworks, tooling, and efficient development processes to help engineers deliver high-quality products faster. You’ll collaborate with product, design, and engineering peers to improve developer experience and scale the platform. This role supports Benchling’s mission to accelerate life sciences research through AI-enabled, streamlined tools. Compensation / Benefits * Own features end-to-end from design to rollout * Design, implement, and extend frontend frameworks and architecture for a large React app * Build tooling for efficient development, testing, and production packaging * Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to improve developer experience * Help rapidly scale product and engineering processes and practices Tasks * 3+ years of software engineering experience * Experience shipping code with a product-first mindset * Proficiency with at least one web framework (preferably Node or Python) * Strong problem solving and feedback iteration skills * Ownership mindset and ability to build key product components * Empathy for customers and curiosity about their challenges * Willingness to learn about life sciences (prior knowledge not required) Key requirements * Hybrid work arrangement with on-site days * Collaborative in-office culture * Focus on developer productivity and impactful work
