TELECOMMUTE Data Architect

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect with deep expertise in Data Modeling and designing and building Enterprise Data Warehouses from the ground up. This is a hands-on architecture role where the successful candidate will drive the overall data architecture while also contributing to development activities in the Azure data ecosystem., * Design and implement enterprise-scale data architecture and modern data warehouse solutions on Microsoft Azure.

• Define conceptual, logical, and physical data models that support business and analytical requirements.
• Lead the end-to-end design and development of data warehouses from inception, including data ingestion, transformation, storage, and reporting layers.
• Establish data architecture standards, governance, and best practices.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Design and optimize ETL/ELT frameworks and data integration pipelines.
• Contribute hands-on to Azure data engineering and development activities when required.
• Ensure data quality, security, performance, and scalability across the data platform.
• Mentor development teams on data modeling, architecture, and Azure best practices.

• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or related roles.
• Strong expertise in Data Modeling (Conceptual, Logical, and Physical) with experience designing enterprise data models.
• Proven experience building Data Warehouses from the ground up, including architecture, implementation, and optimization.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure data services.
• Strong SQL development and performance tuning skills.
• Experience designing ETL/ELT solutions and modern data integration architectures.
• Hands-on development experience with Azure data technologies.
• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, and data warehousing methodologies.
• Experience with data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Databricks and Apache Spark.
• Knowledge of Power BI and semantic data models.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Microsoft Azure certifications are highly desirable.
