Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will develop and maintain Python-based camera models, test frameworks, and GUIs to support camera systems used in semiconductor test benches. You will work closely with hardware, FPGA, and firmware teams to ensure robust test automation and high-quality embedded software outputs. The position emphasizes system-level understanding of camera hardware, Python automation, and data visualization to enable efficient validation and debugging. This is a hands-on role at the intersection of software and hardware, offering impact on test infrastructure and product quality. You will be part of a collaborative environment that values innovation and practical engineering solutions. Compensation / Benefits * Automation framework development for cameras using Python and Jython * Develop automated test scripts for functional, regression and API testing * Integrate test suites with Labview and develop engineering/scientific GUIs using PyQt/PyQtGraph * Create Python-based test scripts for hardware interfaces in test benches with power supplies and oscilloscopes * Collaborate with hardware, FPGA and firmware engineers to understand camera systems * Prototype firmware using Python and contribute requirements to embedded software engineers * Debug and analyze test results to log and track bugs to closure Tasks * Extensive Python development experience with system-level embedded understanding * Deep familiarity with Windows and embedded Linux environments (timesys, petalinux, yocto) * Expertise in performance profiling, debugging, and system optimization * Experience with version control systems (Git) * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * PhD or Masters with relevant experience or Bachelor’s with related experience * 0 years experience with Doctorate; 3 years with Master; 5 years with Bachelor (minimum) Key requirements * medical * dental * vision * life * 401(K) with company match * employee stock purchase program (ESPP)
