Job description
seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager will lead large-scale PeopleSoft modernization initiatives, including PeopleSoft PUM/PeopleTools upgrades and migration of PeopleSoft environments from on-premises infrastructure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of enterprise project management experience, including deep hands-on leadership of PeopleSoft upgrades, cloud migrations, vendor management, and multi-million-dollar ERP programs. They will oversee project governance, budgets, risks, schedules, testing, cutover planning, and post-production stabilization while serving as the key liaison between executive stakeholders, internal IT teams, Oracle Consulting, and other implementation partners. Strong experience with PeopleSoft architecture, OCI, Oracle Database, WebLogic, disaster recovery, and executive-level communication is essential., * Lead project governance, integrated planning, status reporting, steering committee meetings, escalation processes, and executive reviews.
- Manage scope, schedule, budget, dependencies, risks, issues, and change requests across the program lifecycle.
- Oversee PeopleSoft PUM and PeopleTools upgrades supporting modules such as HCM, FSCM, ELM, Pensions, and related applications.
- Coordinate fit-gap analysis, impact assessments, customization retrofits, testing, defect management, training, deployment readiness, and go-live activities.
- Lead oversight of the migration from on-premises PeopleSoft environments to OCI, including migration strategy, security, architecture, disaster recovery, cutover, and post-production stabilization.
- Serve as the primary liaison among business stakeholders, IT leadership, Oracle/implementation partners, system integrators, and third-party vendors.
- Hold vendors accountable for delivery plans, estimates, milestones, contractual obligations, quality, and issue resolution.
- Manage project financials, including budgets, forecasts, invoices, vendor expenditures, and deliverable acceptance.
Requirements
- 15+ years of enterprise IT/ERP project or program management experience.
- 10+ years leading PeopleSoft project delivery efforts.
- Proven leadership of multiple PeopleSoft PUM and PeopleTools upgrade projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing PeopleSoft migrations to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Strong understanding of PeopleSoft architecture, PeopleTools, PUM, Lifecycle Management, and Change Assistant.
- Working knowledge of Oracle Database, WebLogic, Integration Broker, cloud migration strategy, and PeopleSoft technical environments.
- Experience leading large-scale infrastructure modernization or cloud transformation programs.
- Track record managing budgets exceeding $5M and multiple internal and external stakeholder groups.
- Strong executive communication, governance, risk management, financial management, and vendor-management skills.
- Bachelor s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field., * PMP, OCI, Agile, or Scrum certification.
- Experience with PeopleSoft HCM, FSCM, ELM, or Pensions.
- Experience with cloud security, high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization.
- Background in public sector, higher education, healthcare, or another large, complex enterprise environment.
- Prior experience managing Oracle Consulting or a major systems integrator.
- Knowledge of procurement, contracts, SLAs, and vendor governance.
