S/4 Hana Architect - Sovereign Cloud Delivery Germany

Experteer Overview In this role, you act as the technical owner and strategic advisor for customer private cloud landscapes within SAP Sovereign Cloud, driving stability, optimization, and architectural improvements. You will lead risk management, architectural governance, and end-to-end guidance to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable cloud operations aligned with customer goals. You’ll deliver proactive, outcome-based services across the SAP stack while fostering customer-centric collaboration and lifecycle support. This is an opportunity to shape sovereign cloud offerings at scale for public sector and regulated industries. Pay / Benefits * Provide strategic cloud architecture and governance leadership, defining roadmaps and standards that align with business objectives and sustainability * Lead landscape lifecycle activities and transformation initiatives, including upgrades, migrations, DR testing, major changes, and SAP S/4HANA adoption * Proactively identify and manage risks and escalations, coordinating resolution with customers and internal teams * Drive automation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement to ensure measurable business outcomes from cloud investments Tasks * Strong SAP technical expertise with hands-on SAP Basis experience (required) across implementation and steady-state * 7+ years of SAP technical administration and operations * Experience with SAP RISE and migrations * Experience with SAP HANA and Linux environments (5+ years) * Customer-facing technical leadership or escalation management * Collaborative and analytical mindset with cross-team coordination experience * Knowledge of SAP Cloud Infrastructure, Open Stack, Terraform or Ansible (a plus) * Certifications in SAP technologies and hyperscaler platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) (advantage) * Fluent business English; German a plus * Office presence commitment; locations Berlin and St. Leon-Rot Key requirements * great benefits * health and well-being * flexible working models * learning and development * inclusion and belonging * personal growth
