Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you partner with Senior Network Engineers to support daily operations and deliver network engineering solutions. You will drive intermediate projects, set standards for infrastructure code, and advance automation across the environment. You collaborate with cross-functional teams and Information Security on new initiatives, shaping scalable network solutions. A strong emphasis is on solving complex issues, process improvement, and timely decision-making to support operational excellence and cost-effective networking. Compensation / Benefits * Collaborate with Senior Network Engineers to support operational initiatives and daily operations * Provide network and solution engineering under guidance from Senior Engineers and Director * Work with other technical teams and Information Security on new initiatives * Run intermediate projects from start to finish following department processes * Propose cost-effective network management approaches * Set standards for network infrastructure code levels * Develop and update network operational standards * Promote automation and orchestration across the environment * Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues * Create team procedures from lessons learned after incidents * Participate in rotating on-call operational support Tasks * Operational experience with Cisco switch and router hardware (ASR 1000, Nexus 5K, 7K, 9K, Cisco IOS platforms) * Experience with Network Automation and Orchestration (Ansible) * Experience with Cloud Networking (AT&T Nebond, Equinix, MS Azure, AWS) * Programming experience (Perl, Python, C++ or other languages) * In-depth knowledge of LAN switch technology * In-depth knowledge of VPN technologies (Checkpoint, Cisco ASA/AnyConnect) * In-depth knowledge of IPv4 and familiarity with IPv6 * In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) * Knowledge/experience with QoS * Knowledge/experience with Wireless technology (Cisco) * Knowledge/experience with Firewall technology (Checkpoint or Cisco) * Knowledge/experience with Layer 4-7 switching (F5) * Knowledge/experience with DNS/DHCP and IP Address Management (Infoblox) * Direct experience with Cisco ASA/Checkpoint/Infoblox/F5 (Big IP)/Cisco ISE/VOIP technology (Cisco, Avaya)/DWDM technologies/Network Management tools (Solarwinds, Cisco NCS, Statseeker) * In-depth traffic monitoring and analysis (Netscout, Wireshark, tcpdump, Gigamon) * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Strong project coordination skills * Strong relationship management and negotiation skills * Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills * Strong ability to interpret impact of technology decisions * ITIL working knowledge with Incident, Change, Problem management tools (BMC) * MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) Key requirements *
