Embedded Software Engineer (W2 ONLY And AI Experience Required)

Experteer Overview In this contract-to-hire role, you will design and maintain tools for embedded Linux development and help scale AI-assisted engineering workflows. You’ll collaborate across firmware, hardware, and QA to improve software quality and engineering velocity. You will build automated pipelines for firmware build, test, and release, and contribute to validation and regression testing through HIL and board-farm automation. This fully remote position offers W2 employment through TEKsystems with potential for permanency. Compensation / Benefits * Design, develop, and maintain engineering tools and infrastructure for embedded Linux development * Build and optimize automated firmware pipelines (build, test, packaging, provisioning, flashing, recovery, release) * Develop hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and board-farm automation for firmware validation and regression testing * Integrate static analysis, automated testing, and quality gates into the SDLC * Partner with firmware, hardware, and QA engineers to improve engineering processes Tasks * Embedded software development experience using Linux * Proficiency in C++ and Python * Experience building or adopting AI-assisted engineering workflows (agent-driven tooling, autonomous processes) to improve software quality and velocity * Ability to work on a W2 basis via TEKsystems with no sponsorship * Willingness to undergo drug and background checks Key requirements * Medical, dental & vision * 401(k) plan * Life Insurance * Short and long-term disability * HSA * PTO / vacation
