Senior Software Systems Quality Engineer onsite Tucson, AZ

Experteer Overview In this onsite role, you will drive software quality and compliance for defense systems in Tucson, collaborating with engineering and program teams to ensure contract adherence and robust data integrity. You’ll apply agile and DevSecOps practices to improve lifecycle processes, lead root-cause analyses, and guide senior stakeholders. The position offers exposure to high-stakes defense programs and a path to influence critical software quality outcomes. Compensation / Benefits * Review and approve SW deliverables and documentation (CDRL, policies, release packages) * Participate in peer reviews, control boards, and audits to ensure quality compliance * Track metrics and manage test artifacts, requirements changes, and defects * Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions across the lifecycle * Advise on process improvements and adoption of Agile/DevSecOps methodologies * Collaborate with customers, product teams, and test personnel to ensure alignment Tasks * U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance (Secret) * Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 5+ years in Quality or Engineering roles * Experience with Agile: SCRUM, CI/CD, backlog management * Experience with Testing, Requirements verification, and software lifecycle processes * Experience with software release management, configuration management, and metrics Key requirements * medical, dental, vision * life insurance * 401(k) match * short-term and long-term disability * paid time off and holidays * parental leave
