Principal Data Scientist - FDE

Experteer Overview In this Principal Data Scientist role, you advance data-driven solutions for complex customers by transforming messy data into production-ready AI models. You work within the Forward Deployed Engineering model, embedding with customer teams to deliver impact quickly and responsibly. You lead end-to-end data science work-from discovery to deployment-while collaborating with engineers, product managers, and domain experts. You shape strategy, drive experimentation, and scale models to real business outcomes, emphasizing security and trust. Compensation / Benefits * Oversee data set acquisition, ensure formatting and description, address data gaps, and lead data ethics/privacy discussions * Evaluate models using business-outcome metrics, drive improvements, and develop scalable operational models * Maintain industry knowledge, identify strategy opportunities, contribute to thought leadership, and write extensible, debuggable code * Define business/customer/solution goals and partner with teams to explore new opportunities with a customer-oriented focus * Coach engineers and cross-disciplinary partners in data science best practices and scale knowledge across the team Tasks * Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 3+ years data-science experience * Master’s Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 5+ years data-science experience * Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 7+ years data science experience * equivalent experience Key requirements *
