Job description

Experteer Overview In this Senior Data Scientist role within Microsoft’s Frontier Company Engineering (FDE) team, you transform messy data into production-ready AI solutions that impact business outcomes. You work with cross-functional teams to own the full data lifecycle, from discovery to deployment, applying cutting-edge AI to real-world problems. The role emphasizes scalable models, ethics, privacy, and impact-driven experiments in collaboration with global customers. You will coach engineers and drive thought leadership in best practices, all within a culture of inclusion and high standards. Compensation / Benefits * Oversee data acquisition and ensure proper formatting and description for project delivery; address data gaps and discuss data ethics and privacy * Evaluate models against business-outcome metrics, drive improvements, and scale operational models; review data analysis and modeling techniques * Maintain industry knowledge to identify strategy opportunities and contribute to best practices; write extensible, debuggable code * Define business, customer, and solution strategy goals; partner with teams to explore new opportunities; deliver customer-oriented pragmatic solutions * Coach engineers and cross-disciplinary partners in data science best practices and scale knowledge within the team Tasks * Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field with 1+ year data-science experience OR Master’s with 3+ years OR Bachelor’s with 5+ years OR equivalent experience * Microsoft cannot sponsor a work visa for this role Key requirements *
