Job description

You will provide technical leadership across the modernisation of Legacy Mainframe applications, working across CA Gen, Cobol and Java within both Mainframe and Cloud environments.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in CA Gen Cobol (Mainframe) and CA Gen Java (Cloud).
  • Proven experience delivering Mainframe-to-Cloud migration and transformation programmes.

Strong knowledge of:

  • Cobol
  • Java
  • DB2
  • IMS
  • JCL
  • MS SQL
  • Performance engineering
  • System analysis
  • Experience providing technical leadership within complex transformation programmes.
  • Insurance industry experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Benefits & conditions

  • 12-month contract
  • Up to £550 per day
  • Outside IR35

  • Occasional European travel, with expenses paid
