- Bachelorâs Degree in a relevant engineering discipline\n
- Ten (10) years of professional experience in systems engineering\n
- Experience with software integration or testing, including analyzing and implementing test plans and scripts.\n
- Knowledge of system-of-systems engineering and integration directorate processes.\n
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).\n
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.\n
- Secret security clearance.\n

The Systems Engineer III provides comprehensive Systems Engineering lifecycle support for the Nuclear Biological and Chemical Sensor processing Group (NBCSPG), Joint Biological Point Detection System (JBPDS), Chemical Biological Mass Spectrometer (CBMS) Block II, and Joint Services Lightweight Standoff Chemical Agent Detector (JSLSCAD) programs.\n \n \nResponsibilities:\n \n
- Support and provide subject matter expertise on the following communication interfaces: RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, Ethernet, USB, and Discrete I/O signals.\n
- Support and maintain NBCSPG special tools including the cable validator and Interface Adapter programmers.\n
- Support serial data interface adapters which provide data conversion from serial to Ethernet as well as protocol translation; establish current interface adaptor baseline and additional sensor data interfaces; and support board revision and design for the updated interface adaptor.\n
- Support legacy NBCSPG systems including the mass spectrometers, chemical agent detectors, radiation detectors, remote chemical agent detectors, and review those systems for obsolescence, including software, hardware, and interface issues.\n
- Support testing of NBCSPG systems.\n

Provide subject matter expertise to support in the following areas:\n \n
- Working in assembly language and other low-level programming languages for embedded controllers.\n
- Reverse engineering electronic devices and digital signals, and unknown data signals.\n
- Integrating Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) electronic components, microcontrollers, memory devices, and communication control devices.\n
- Assembling basic electronic circuits.\n
- Programming microcontrollers to interact with digital signals.\n
- Working with electronic laboratory test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, digital multimeters, and logic analyzers.\n
- Troubleshooting and repairing digital and analog electronic devices\n
