Job description

  • We work with applied research engineers at the intersection of computer vision, gameplay agents, natural language processing, and machine learning to create state-of-the-art tools for game developers.
  • We focus on bots, including trained gameplay agents, intelligent NPCs, companions, and world modeling, as well as automation across moderation, security, and QA testing.
  • We design, implement, and deploy production-ready machine learning models that can be integrated into our ecosystem.
  • We create and deliver scalable, high-quality machine learning models and associated algorithms that can make actions in game environments.
  • We critically assess model effectiveness and make recommendations for the ongoing roadmap.
  • We methodically understand and evaluate new data channels and support the collection and creation of new ones.

Requirements

  • We require a PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • We are looking for experience creating and applying machine learning algorithms for bot action modeling, including vision-based or language-instructed systems, and deploying them as production-level in-game systems.
  • We need expert, hands-on knowledge of deep learning, including applications in the gaming industry.
  • We need experience with foundational models and vision and/or language, especially vision-language-action models and reinforcement learning agents, including local deployment and post-training of open-weights models.
  • We need experience in reinforcement learning, including agentic systems, reward design, policy optimisation, evaluation, and building scalable training environments for agents.
  • We need strong Python skills and experience with ML tools and frameworks such as numpy, scipy, sklearn, and pytorch.
  • We value experience working collaboratively with other developers in a flexible, agile, or lean environment.
