Job description

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a ForgeRock Developer on behalf of our client in Midvale/Salt Lake City, UT. This role is responsible for designing, developing, supporting, and enhancing Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions within a fast-paced enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ForgeRock, Java-based application development, authentication technologies, API integrations, and DevOps practices. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing identity solutions. Key Responsibilities Application Development & Support Design, develop, configure, and maintain ForgeRock-based IAM solutions. Provide ongoing application support, troubleshooting, and incident resolution for enterprise systems. Analyze business and technical requirements to develop scalable software solutions. Develop, test, debug, deploy, and support software applications and integrations. Participate in application configuration, change management, and release activities. Identity & Access Management Implement and support authentication, authorization, and identity management solutions. Develop integrations leveraging SAML, SSO, OAuth, OIDC, APIs, and web services. Ensure applications align with security standards and secure development practices. Support IAM infrastructure, user access workflows, and federation services. Agile Collaboration & Delivery Work closely with Business Analysts, stakeholders, and technical teams to gather requirements and define technical solutions. Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, reviews, and team collaboration sessions. Review existing systems and processes and recommend enhancements to improve performance and efficiency. Manage source code repositories and version control processes. Testing & Documentation Perform unit testing and support system and integration testing activities. Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and design specifications. Contribute to solution feasibility assessments and technical recommendations. Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support when required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in software development, application engineering, or related technical roles. Hands-on experience with ForgeRock Identity Platform and IAM solutions. Strong experience with Java and related development frameworks and tools. Experience with JavaScript, Groovy, Python, SQL, and Linux environments. Knowledge of networking concepts, web services, REST APIs, and system integrations. Experience implementing and supporting SAML, Single Sign-On (SSO), OAuth, and OpenID Connect (OIDC). Familiarity with application servers such as Apache Tomcat. Experience working with cloud technologies, containers, and DevOps practices. Understanding of Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) principles. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving technologies and business needs. Preferred Qualifications Experience with DevOps tools and automation processes. Knowledge of Bash scripting and YAML. Experience working in Agile software development environments. Background supporting enterprise Identity and Access Management ecosystems. Experience mentoring junior team members and contributing to technical best practices.
