Job description
- Lead and develop a small desktop support team, assigning priorities, balancing workloads, and stepping in as the senior escalation point for complex issues.
- Provide responsive, white-glove technology support to C-suite leaders, chiefs of staff, and executive assistants while maintaining professionalism, discretion, and urgency.
- Anticipate executive technology needs by monitoring for potential disruptions, preparing equipment in advance, and addressing risks before they affect productivity or critical meetings.
- Diagnose and resolve issues involving Windows devices, Microsoft 365, Teams, Zoom, VPN connectivity, mobile devices, peripherals, and corporate networks.
- Prepare and support technology for executive meetings, presentations, and video conferences, including testing audiovisual equipment and providing immediate assistance when needed.
- Manage support requests from initial intake through resolution, maintaining accurate Cherwell documentation and coordinating with Network, Infrastructure, and Security teams when appropriate.
- Analyze recurring support issues and recommend improvements to tools, processes, documentation, and service standards that strengthen the overall executive support experience.
Requirements
- 5+ experience providing dedicated technical support to C-suite leaders, senior executives, and executive assistants in a corporate environment.
- Previous experience leading or mentoring desktop support technicians while remaining actively involved in day-to-day troubleshooting and ticket resolution.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Teams, Zoom, VPNs, mobile devices, and common desktop hardware and peripherals.
- A polished, customer-focused communication style with the ability to work calmly, professionally, and discreetly around senior leadership.
- Ability to anticipate technology needs, research potential solutions, and present well-developed recommendations instead of relying solely on reactive support.
- Practical understanding of network connectivity, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and remote-access technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related discipline is preferred; substantial relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, or Apple support credentials are also a plus.
