Job description
We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician to provide hands-on IT support in a large enterprise environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an IT professional with strong Windows, Microsoft 365, and endpoint support experience who enjoys solving technical issues while delivering exceptional customer service., * Provide onsite desktop support for Windows PCs, laptops, peripherals, and enterprise applications.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues.
- Install, configure, and upgrade Windows operating systems and authorized applications.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and other productivity tools.
- Manage incidents and service requests through a ticketing system while meeting SLA requirements.
- Perform software deployments, patching, and updates using SCCM.
- Restore operating systems and user files when needed.
- Assist with device deployments, hardware replacements, equipment moves, and refresh projects.
- Troubleshoot networking issues involving VPN, Wi-Fi, DNS, IP connectivity, and enterprise infrastructure.
- Support Active Directory user accounts, password resets, and basic administrative tasks.
- Assist Tier 1 and Tier 2 technicians with escalated technical issues.
- Maintain detailed documentation of troubleshooting steps and ticket updates.
- Provide professional, high-quality customer support to end users.
- Travel between local office locations as needed (mileage reimbursed).
Requirements
- 5+ years of enterprise desktop support experience.
- Strong Windows 10/11 troubleshooting and support experience.
- Extensive experience supporting Microsoft 365.
- Experience with SCCM for software deployment and patch management.
- Strong hardware troubleshooting skills for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Experience working within ServiceNow or a similar ITSM ticketing platform.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Directory administration experience.
- Experience supporting macOS and JAMF.
- Knowledge of BitLocker encryption.
- Experience with CrowdStrike endpoint security.
- Familiarity with PKI, LDAP, and ADFS.
- Networking knowledge including VPN, Wi-Fi, DNS, and TCP/IP.
- CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or other relevant IT certifications.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
