Job description

  • Act as a point of escalation for the team both in and out of office hours.
  • Lead the development of scalable, maintainable, and performant systems.
  • Apply active governance around overall solution design and code quality.
  • Ensure solutions meet the needs of the Business.
  • Manage work estimation and the production of solution documents.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the technical structure, domain, and architecture of the systems.
  • Guide a small team of developers in the design and development of solutions.
  • Own technical solutions and their hands-on delivery from development to live.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and mentor team members.

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of Kafka, SQL, .Net, Golang or React.
  • Proven experience building highly scalable systems, preferably in the cloud (GCP valued).
  • Proficiency in developing customer-centric front-end solutions.
  • Exposure to NoSQL datastores.
  • Leadership experience within development teams and technical project delivery.
  • Capability in technical leadership, mentorship, pairing opportunities, and code reviews.
  • Strong technical documentation skills.
  • Deep understanding of large-scale, highly available, multiuser, service-based systems.
  • Familiarity with on-call rotations and incident response.
