Job description

Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of RESTful APIs and microservices.
Design, develop, and execute API test cases using Postman, Swagger, and automation frameworks.
Validate request/response payloads, authentication mechanisms, status codes, error handling, and data integrity.
Execute backend testing using SQL against relational databases.
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, DevOps, and Product teams during Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
Participate in test planning, defect tracking, root cause analysis, and release validation.

Requirements

5+ years of QA/API Testing experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, and REST API testing.
Experience in API automation using Java + Rest Assured or Python-based frameworks.
Strong SQL skills for backend data validation.
Experience with JSON, XML, OAuth, JWT, API security validation, and microservices architecture.
Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools.
Experience with defect management tools such as Jira.
