Data Center Technician

Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Center Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and operational integrity of critical data center infrastructure. This role is responsible for executing physical deployments, managing hardware inventory, supporting network connectivity, responding to incidents, and ensuring all work is completed according to established build documentation and operational procedures. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys hands-on technical work, and is comfortable participating in a rotational on-call schedule. Key Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on installation, racking, cabling, and deployment of data center hardware following detailed build sheets and documented procedures.
• Execute inventory management activities, including receiving, tracking, auditing, and maintaining accurate records of hardware and equipment.
• Support network device operations by installing, replacing, and troubleshooting network infrastructure components.
• Assist with network operations, including connectivity verification, device setup, and basic troubleshooting.
• Provision and manage physical and logical access to data center equipment in accordance with established access management processes.
• Respond to data center incidents, perform initial troubleshooting, document findings, and escalate issues to the appropriate support teams as needed.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), change management processes, and data center best practices to ensure operational consistency.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support hardware deployments, maintenance activities, and operational initiatives.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and secure data center environment.

• Experience working in a data center, IT operations, or infrastructure support environment.
• Hands-on experience with server and network hardware installation and maintenance.
• Understanding of data center inventory management processes.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including device connectivity and network infrastructure.
• Experience following detailed build documentation, work instructions, or deployment procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and move data center equipment and work in a physically demanding environment requiring frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
