Job description

We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Data Center Technician to support day-to-day operations at a growing Phoenix-area data center. You’ll be the hands-on technical link between our facility, our infrastructure, and the customers and teams who depend on it - keeping servers, networking equipment, and critical systems running safely and reliably in a 24x7 environment.

This is a great fit for someone who wants steady, high-demand work in one of the fastest-growing data center markets in the country.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform hardware installation, moves, adds, and changes (MACs) - including racking/stacking equipment, device labeling, power connectivity, and structured cabling
  • Provide “smart hands” support for remote engineers and customers within defined SLA response times
  • Monitor system and environmental performance (power, cooling, capacity utilization) and escalate anomalies
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware, cabling, and connectivity issues; escalate complex issues as needed
  • Complete work orders, asset tracking, and ticket documentation accurately and on time
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and secure data center floor - including cabinet/rack exteriors, workbenches, and raised-floor areas
  • Escort vendors and clients on-site per security protocol
  • Follow all safety procedures and immediately report any violations or hazards
  • Support audits, inventory checks, and daily work log maintenance
  • Participate in on-call rotation as needed for off-hours incident response

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a data center, IT support, or infrastructure support environment (or equivalent military/technical training)
  • Hands-on experience with server hardware, structured cabling, and physical installation tasks
  • Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (switches, routers, patch panels)
  • Comfortable with ticketing systems and technical documentation
  • Ability to lift/move equipment up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with a professional approach
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Technology Doesn’t Change the World, People Do.ÂŽ
