Senior Platform Engineer (Azure/Terraform)

A client in the talent agency space is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to own and evolve the enterprise platform ecosystem, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud infrastructure. This is a highly technical individual contributor role responsible for platform architecture, automation, governance, reliability, and cloud modernization across the organization. This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys building standards, driving automation, and influencing technical direction while remaining hands-on. The role manages platforms, not people, and will serve as a key partner to infrastructure, security, networking, and enterprise architecture teams., * Lead the design and engineering of WME’s Azure and hybrid cloud platform environments.

• Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code, automation frameworks, and cloud governance standards.
• Establish scalable, secure, and resilient platform architectures that support enterprise business needs.
• Drive cloud modernization initiatives and platform engineering best practices.
• Develop monitoring, observability, and performance standards across the environment.
• Improve reliability, disaster recovery, and operational readiness through automation and engineering excellence.
• Partner with cybersecurity teams to implement platform security controls, policy enforcement, and compliance standards.
• Own cloud cost management and FinOps initiatives, including optimization and capacity planning.
• Support and expand AI platform services, including Azure AI and Azure OpenAI infrastructure.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural guidance across IT and engineering teams. - Experience supporting AI platform services such as Azure AI or Azure OpenAI.

• 8+ years of infrastructure, cloud, or platform engineering experience.
• 5+ years of enterprise-scale cloud platform engineering experience.
• Deep expertise with Microsoft Azure, including:

o Landing Zones

o Management Groups & Subscriptions

o Azure Policy & Governance

o Identity & Access Management (Entra ID)

o Hybrid cloud environments

• Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform/OpenTofu
• Experience with automation and scripting using PowerShell, Python, or comparable technologies.
• Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring platforms such as Azure Monitor, Datadog, Grafana, or Splunk.
• Strong understanding of platform security, governance, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Experience managing cloud spending, optimization, and FinOps initiatives.
• Ability to influence technical strategy and communicate effectively with both engineering teams and leadership., * Multi-cloud or complex hybrid infrastructure experience.
• Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305) or Terraform certifications.
• Familiarity with NIST, CIS Benchmarks, and Azure Well-Architected Framework.
• Experience in entertainment, media, or other fast-paced enterprise environments.
