Job description
This IT Technician will be responsible for assisting the IT Manager in supporting end users in a fast-moving engineering company. Every day is a new challenge, and you will often be learning by doing.
Responsibilities will include:
· Help create and document procedures and other directions
· Provide Tier I technical support to company employees, including hardware and software support, troubleshoot network issues (LAN/WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, routing basics)
· Install, maintain, configure, troubleshoot and repair IT devices and software. Including but not limited to, desktop and portable PCs, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals in an environment with Microsoft Windows 11, and Microsoft Office
· Utilize Active Directory Users and Computers (ADUC), Microsoft Entra and Microsoft 365 Admin centers to administer user and computer accounts, security groups, and distribution lists in a hybrid On Premise / Cloud Environment
· Work independently and as part of a team to troubleshoot and solve hardware and software issues for company employees
· Provide timely customer engagement and resolution
· Interact daily with IT Manager and end users; interaction normally involves the exchange or presentation of information via the phone, email, or face-to-face communication
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, · U.S. citizenship required and an active secret clearance is a plus. At a minimum, must be security clearance eligible
· 1 - 5+ years of IT support experience in a Windows environment
· Strong knowledge with Active Directory, Office 365, and user account management
· Understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
· Experience with remote support tools
· Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
· Strong communication and customer service skills
· CompTIA Security+ certification and experience with security compliance desirable
