SharePoint In MS 365 Architect

We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Online / Microsoft 365 Solutions Architect to design and support the implementation of a scalable document and metadata management solution., * Assess the current document management landscape, business processes, data flows and pain points.

• Define the target SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 architecture.
• Design an effective information architecture, including sites, hubs, document libraries and navigation.
• Develop scalable metadata models, content types, taxonomies and classification frameworks.
• Harmonise metadata across teams, document types and connected systems.
• Design document lifecycle processes covering creation, review, approval, versioning, publication, retention and disposal.
• Establish governance principles for ownership, access control, security, compliance and ongoing platform management.
• Translate complex business and regulatory requirements into practical, scalable solution designs.
• Identify opportunities to automate document classification, approval and publication workflows.
• Support implementation teams throughout solution configuration, delivery and rollout.
• Produce clear architecture documentation, governance standards and implementation roadmaps.
• Engage with business, compliance, technology and operational stakeholders across multiple countries., Key deliverables

• Strong experience architecting SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 solutions.
• Demonstrable experience designing enterprise document management solutions.
• Advanced knowledge of SharePoint information architecture, including site structures, hubs, libraries and navigation.
• Proven expertise in metadata and taxonomy modelling, including content types, managed metadata and the Microsoft 365 Term Store.
• Strong understanding of document lifecycle management, versioning, retention, permissions and access management.
• Experience defining governance and compliance controls in regulated environments.
• Ability to analyse complex requirements and translate them into scalable information architecture and metadata models.
• Experience improving data flows and integration points between SharePoint and other enterprise systems.
• Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation and documentation skills.

Desirable experience

• Experience within investment management, asset management, financial services or another highly regulated sector.
• Knowledge of document ecosystems involving prospectuses, financial reports, regulatory publications and investor communications.
• Experience working across multiple countries, jurisdictions and languages.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Automate and workflow design.
• Familiarity with automated document classification, publishing processes and system integrations.
