Associate Frontend Developer

We are looking for an Associate Frontend Developer to support the technical requirements of our commercial advisory firm. At Gulf Associates, we provide high-level decision support to chief executives and sovereign entities, focusing on the ground reality of complex investments. You will assist in building and maintaining the interfaces our clients use to view counterparty data and investment scenarios. A current focus for the firm involves supporting a major project for a German logistics provider headquartered in Europe. This engagement requires the development of internal tools to track asset movements and partnership risks, helping the client make informed capital deployment decisions. This is a full-time, fully remote position that allows you to work from your preferred location while staying closely connected with our senior partners. What you will do

• Develop and maintain web-based interfaces using HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript libraries.
• Translate draft logic models and wireframes into clean, functional code that partners can use during client negotiations.
• Assist in building data visualization components for a German logistics provider project to track market behaviors.
• Collaborate with senior advisors to ensure that technical outputs reflect the commercial judgment required for high-stakes decisions.
• Test and debug frontend components to ensure they function reliably across different devices and browsers.
• Optimize web pages for speed and usability, focusing on clear communication of complex data sets.
• Maintain technical documentation to ensure the codebase is organized and easy for other team members to follow.
• Participate in remote team meetings to discuss project requirements and share progress on technical tasks.

• A foundational knowledge of frontend technologies, including a strong grasp of HTML5 and CSS3.
• Basic experience with JavaScript and at least one framework like React, Vue, or Angular, perhaps through studies or personal projects.
• A clear interest in commercial logic and how businesses make investment and partnership decisions.
• The ability to follow technical instructions accurately and ask clarifying questions when needed.
• Strong organizational habits and the discipline to manage your own workload in a remote environment.
• A detail-oriented approach to coding, ensuring that visual elements are consistent and functional.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, allowing you to explain technical details to non-technical colleagues.
