Job description

We are seeking an experienced EPIC Clarity Database Engineer Consultant with expertise in the OCHIN Epic Community Connect environment to support reporting, analytics, and database development initiatives. The consultant will be responsible for report generation, SQL query development, data extraction, and supporting operational and clinical reporting needs for healthcare organizations utilizing OCHIN Epic systems.

This is a contract-based consulting role suitable for candidates experienced in Epic Clarity reporting and healthcare data environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Epic Clarity reports within the OCHIN Epic Community Connect environment.

  • Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data extraction scripts to support clinical, operational, financial, and quality reporting.

  • Collaborate with healthcare stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and deliver customized data solutions.

  • Support report generation for regulatory compliance, patient care management, revenue cycle, and operational analytics.

  • Validate data accuracy, troubleshoot reporting discrepancies, and ensure data integrity.

  • Assist with Epic Clarity data model analysis and reporting workflow improvements.

  • Support dashboard and BI integrations using reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SSRS.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation for queries, reports, and reporting processes.

  • Provide ongoing support for reporting enhancements and ad hoc reporting requests.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Technical troubleshooting support?, * Hands-on experience with Epic Clarity databases in OCHIN Epic Community Connect environments.

  • Strong SQL Server and advanced T-SQL query development skills.

  • Experience with Epic reporting tools and report generation processes.

  • Understanding of healthcare workflows, clinical data, and revenue cycle reporting.

  • Experience developing operational, financial, and clinical reports.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a consulting or contractor capacity.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Epic Clarity Certification preferred.

  • Experience with OCHIN reporting structures and community connect workflows.

  • Familiarity with Caboodle, Cogito, Reporting Workbench, and SlicerDicer.

  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or SSRS reporting platforms.

  • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards including HL7 and FHIR.

Benefits & conditions

$35 - $80 an hour - Contract
