Epic Clarity & Cogito Analytics Developer

Novacoast is seeking an experienced Epic Clarity & Cogito Analytics Developer to support reporting and analytics initiatives within a healthcare analytics environment focused on operational, clinical, and regulatory reporting.

This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in:

• Epic Clarity
• Cogito SQL
• Radar Dashboards

• Healthcare Analytics & Reporting

The consultant will support initiatives related to:

• Ambulatory
• Inpatient
• Regulatory / State Reporting
• Quality Metrics
• Operational Healthcare Analytics

This is a fully remote contract opportunity supporting a high-impact healthcare analytics team.

Reporting & Analytics

• Develop and deploy Epic reports and dashboards
• Create and maintain Epic Radar dashboards and metrics
• Build Cogito SQL reports and metric framework components
• Develop SQL stored procedures for clinical reporting requests
• Support operational and regulatory reporting initiatives
• Validate, modify, and document custom SQL metrics

Stakeholder & Project Support

• Gather and document reporting requirements
• Work directly with operational and clinical leadership teams
• Lead analytics projects from intake through deployment
• Provide project estimates, updates, and status reporting
• Communicate risks, issues, and timelines to stakeholders

SDLC & Best Practices

• Follow SDLC processes including:
• Requirements gathering
• Design documentation
• Testing & validation
• UAT support
• Production deployment
• Documentation
• Conduct SQL code reviews and peer reviews
• Mentor junior developers when needed, * Admissions
• Flowsheets
• Discharge Medication Reconciliation
• Quality metrics

Ambulatory

• Visits
• Consults
• Orders
• Groupers

Do you have experience in Epic?, * 3+ years of Epic Clarity Data Model development experience

• Experience with:
• EpicCare Ambulatory
• Epic Inpatient (IP)
• Experience building analytics/reporting solutions in healthcare environments

Technical Skills

• 5+ years of SQL query and stored procedure development
• Strong experience working with Epic Clarity data
• Experience with:
• Epic Cogito SQL
• Radar
• SlicerDicer
• Reporting Workbench
• Metric Framework, * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently with clinical and technical teams
• Experience mentoring junior team members preferred
• Experience supporting custody/jail healthcare reporting environments is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Epic Clarity Certification (Clinical, Financial, or equivalent), * Which Epic reporting tools have you worked with extensively?
• Have you personally developed custom Epic Clarity reports, Cogito SQL reports, or Radar dashboards?
• Have you written SQL stored procedures using Epic Clarity data for production healthcare reporting?

Experience:

• Epic Clarity Data Model development: 3 years (Required)
• SQL query and stored procedure development: 5 years (Required)
