Cloud Security Engineer Location: Bristol Salary: Circa £72k This is a great job for someone who has experience in cloud security and wants to help shape how we secure cloud platforms at scale. You might already be working with AWS, Azure or GCP and be ready for your next challenge. A bit about the job You’ll help us keep our cloud platforms secure, resilient and continuously monitored. Working across AWS, Azure, or GCP, you’ll identify risks and support teams to fix them. You’ll be part of our Application and Platform Security team, working closely with engineers and architects across Aviva. You’ll also help improve how we manage security through tooling, automation and reporting. You’ll help identifying and investigating potential risks across our cloud environments as well as working closely with engineering teams to prioritise and resolve issues quickly, supporting continuous compliance against key security standards. reporting, helping us improve how we manage security at scale. You’ll also share clear, meaningful insights with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, making sure everyone understands the risks and how to address them. Ultimately, you’ll play a key role in protecting our customers and business. Skills and experience we’re looking for Strong hands-on experience in cloud security (AWS, Azure or GCP) ideally within a regulated or large-scale environment Experience with cloud security tools such as CNAPP, CSPM or CWPP with exposure to Rego, vulnerability management and workload scanning Good understanding of cloud-native architectures, infrastructure as code and modern platform engineering practices with containerisation experience Experience supporting security standards and continuous compliance (e.g. CIS Benchmarks, NIST) with the ability to track and support remediation Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to explain security risks to different audiences
