Job description
We have an exciting opportunity at our clients FM business for a Director of IT to join the IT team based here at the Head Office in London. This role reports directly into the CEO will be a key member of the Senior Executive team. You will ensure IT demand is captured from business and will provide key input for the creation and maintenance of overall IT Strategy., * Manage the defined IT strategy to ensure that there is effective governance around project management * Develop and enhance relationships with key business stakeholders, actively manage their expectations & monitor satisfaction levels * Build a strong relationship with relevant Executive and business leaders and a good understanding of their business area(s), strategies and objectives, through regular stakeholder meetings and other contacts * Ensure tight financial control of cash spend on IT and adhere to company financial disciplines on areas such as (but not limited to) forecasting, budgeting, capital expenditure authorisation and invoice approval * Direct the provisioning of new and enhanced services as per requirements * Ensure IT demand is captured from business * Provide key input for the creation and maintenance of overall IT Strategy * Address business demand by capturing high level technology requirements * Ensure high level technology impact analysis is provided to business * Business Impact and Demand Management * Coordinate and oversee user testing of new applications and application changes
Requirements
Strong knowledge of a Faculties Services business model with process best practices is preferred * Proven past experience in leading an IT team of 20+ * Comfortable with being hands-on in support of implemented technology solutions * Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, Visio) * Experience of managing budgets (capital projects) * Reporting to senior management in detailing current IT statuses and forward-looking plans * Strong communication, presentation and leadership skills * Prioritisation skills and experience * Highly organised and detail-oriented * Team-player with excellent relationship-building skills * Inspirational leader, coach and manager * Commercial * Ability to influence * Personal resilience
